Autism Rating Scale Course
- Description
The scale is standardized on Arab environment characterized by a high degree of validity and reliability. The test consists of a set of scales (7 subtests) and is administered to individuals aged 2 to13 years. Also, the test is administered individually to conduct a comprehensive assessment of children suspected of having autism spectrum disorder. Additionally, the test helps in developing the treatment plan and analyzing the case progress. The assessment and the rating of the scale is based on DSM5.

First day (5 hours)
- Introduction of trainee and trainees.
- Asking questions to assess trainees' level before training.
- Test description.
- 30 minutes break.
- Statistical concepts of the test.
- Identify administration rules.
Second day (5 hours)
- Identify administration rules.
- Autism rating scale.
- Language assessment test.
- 30 minutes break.
- Interaction assessment test.
Third day (5 hours)
- Educational Assessment Test.
- 30 minutes break.
- Prognosis of learning rate
Fourth day (5 hours)
- Non-verbal IQ test and verbal IQ test
- 30 minutes break
- Training on writing the report.
- The course attendance exam (written).
- Receiving the certificates.

At the end of this course, each trainee will be able to:
- Identify children with autism spectrum disorder.
- Follow-up development in the treatment plan and analyze the progress.
- Use the scale as a research tool.
- Making diagnostic decisions according to The Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders, 5th Edition: DSM-5.
